Sandal Magna Chess Club

 

Once again the school chess club has taken part in this event. This year (2009)the tournement was contested on Saturday March 7th. To find out more about the Stanley Grundy Memorial Trophy, take a look at the item in the Wakefield Guardian (see page 10).

On Saturday 8th March 2008 our chess team were taken to Lofthouse Gate

Primary School to take part in a tournament. Each of our players played

three matches and although we only won two games during the course of

the day we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
